 Q1. (a) Business communication does not merely mean writing letters, there are many more modes and styles of communication” Discuss. (20)

Or,

(b) Write short notes (any four)

(i)                 E-mail reports;
(ii)               Advertisement as business communication;
(iii)             Board  meeting;
(iv)              Internship progress report;
(v)                Welcome address in a seminar session.

Q2. (a) What are the qualitative features of a good persuasive letter? Write a persuasive letter to a prospective bank customer to avail the “Deposit Pension Scheme”. (20)
Or,

(b) Discuss the “correctness of information” in business report. How the correctness of information is achieved in business communication?


Q3. A mobile Telephone company makes the following offers:

Write a letter to the respective higher a authority highlighting the problems and seeking suggestions to overcome those problems. (15)

(b) Write a short composition on the future of research on jute fiber and jute industry and how the industrial and commercial bank can help the development of this project.

Q5. (a) Prepare a report from the desk of the manager on the matters of financial irregularities pointed out by the audit team. (15)

(b) Write a letter to a customer regretting the bank’s inability to grant an overdraft owing to insufficiency of security.


Q6. (a) Critically discuss the sovereign debt crisis and its impact on the world economy. (15)

Or,

(b) Write a letter from the manager of a bank to his head office urging the opening of a new branch in a neighboring small town with an increasing population.
