Leadership: Leadership is a process by
which an executive can direct, guide and influence the behaviour and work of
others towards accomplishment of specific goals in a given situation.
Leadership is the ability of a manager to induce the subordinates to work with
confidence and zeal. Leadership often represents a group of individuals that are responsible
for inspiring, guiding and leading a group of people that are joined for a
common cause. In a short Leadership can be defined as a
group of abilities, attributes and qualities that assist individuals in moving
forward to achieve a shared vision.
According to Peter Drucker “The only
definition of a leader is someone who has followers”.
According to John C Maxwell “leadership is influence – nothing more,
nothing less”.
According to Robert Taylor-“Leadership is the
ability to get a group of persons to achieve what they cannot do individually.”
Lastly we can say that- Leadership is the
ability engage, inspire, and motivate others towards accomplishing shared
visions and goals.
